Now I hate wafflers as much as the next guy. It reminds you of someone who is passive aggressive "oh I like that/oh I hate that", talking out both sides of the mouth. They're grinding on Palin about this global warming and man's contribution, spitting out that she had indeed previously stated that she did not believe man was contributing to global warming. I don't know about some other folks, I understand that you can believe a thing fervently but if new information is rolled out I can change how I believe about that thing. I once believed that dogs should be able to run around as free as they please. I believed that until the day I saw a white fluffy little dog get hit by a car 20 feet away from me because there was no fence to stop it. I changed how I thought about that, and I like to think it's because I'm open-minded enough to grow and change. I think it's splendid that Palin could actually change her mind and become more concerned about how man contributes to global warming. I believe she needs to change her platform on that issue.
Now I'm a country gal and I absolutely love wolves so as you can imagine, I abhor her stand on hunting from the air. However, I have also shot varmints on my own property. Coyotes stand at the top of that list. Someone who has had no personal experience with what little bastards they are might say "Oh, how cruel". In my opinion, cracking off a shot at a coyote is a long cry from tracking and shooting wolves from the air. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. Hunt from the ground, be a man. Air-hunting is a chicken-shit way to hunt. So Sarah, bitch slaps to you on that one honey. You're one touch chick though, meybe since you've changed your mind about global warming, you'll someday be able to adopt a new view on that one.
But that aside, I like her. She's a tough chick, and I know what it takes to be a tough chick. I like that she's not afraid to step up and swap punches with the big boys. I like that she's willing to do what it takes to get a job done. Cross a border to wipe out stinkin' Osama Bin Ladiin? Hell yeah! Shoot that punk. Fire a rocket into the side of some godforsaken Pakistani mountain to take that goat-roper out? Absolutely. If the Pakistani don't believe they and the world would be safer well then lets just take our billions of dollars and our troops and go home. We have plenty of oil and natural gas in the good ol' USA and all that money and manpower would go a long way to provide clean, green ways to make all that gas and oil accessable. In fact I think we need to withdraw the billions in funding from all those other foreign countries we're helping out who take our money and then act out their hate for us. All that money invested back into our own economy could truly make our country the greatest land in the world once again.
The McCain-Palin ticket? I like it. Four more years of the same? I think not. That sounds good as a Democratic slam shot, but I rather think McCain has plans beyond the scope of Bush mentality. He's chosen wisely. His running mate is bringing a lot of people with her and picking up more every day. We all know if you want something done get a woman to do it. If we know one thing about Palin, she's a go-getter, and she's willing to expand her views to the better rather than stick stupidly to denial of a new truth.
She helps out on a freakin' fishing boat. How many of you have ever even been on one? How many of you have rode out a storm at sea? I have, and so for that too, I think Sarah Palin is a tough chick. It's dangerous, it's hard, smelly, cold work, and it shows that this girl can knuckle down and work. She's done it, she's lived it, and she can appreciate what most white-collar, soft-handed pencil pushing desk jockeys never can. She knows how to work hard.

Sarah Palin. She's one tough chick. She shot a moose! Have you really ever seen one? I have - they're HUGE! Another bonus is that they taste good. I make no bones about being a country girl and I love the taste of wild meat! I get that whole going out and hunting thing, as long as it's to provide food for the family. Glory hunters may bring a lot of money into Alaska, but those who really make use of what they kill have my respect.
Like they say, Gun Control is being able to hit your target. She can do that. I'll trust her to take that 3 am call. I think I'd sleep safe at night knowing she's prowling around the White House in curlers and fuzzy slippers with a Glock in her robe pocket.
